Ingredients
  

  • 4 piece chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your choice of flavor
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to create a marinade.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to soak in the flavors.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
  5. Place the marinated chicken thighs in a baking dish, skin side up.
  6. Brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken thighs, reserving some sauce for later.
  7. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  8. After 25 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush with more BBQ sauce.
  9. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is caramelized and sticky.
  10. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnishing with extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight.
