Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to create a marinade.
- Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade. Let them sit for about 10 minutes to soak in the flavors.
- In a separate bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar until well combined.
- Place the marinated chicken thighs in a baking dish, skin side up.
- Brush a generous amount of the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken thighs, reserving some sauce for later.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove the chicken from the oven and brush with more BBQ sauce.
- Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is caramelized and sticky.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnishing with extra BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for a few hours or overnight.
