Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the creamy beef sauce.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
