Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs total
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning or dried parsley/oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Place chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the chicken.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the garlic butter mixture for at least 30 minutes before baking. Ensure chicken is fully cooked by checking with a meat thermometer.
