Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet (cast iron works well) over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Pour chicken broth around the chicken breasts in the skillet.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven, tent with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in a little buttermilk before seasoning. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or a side salad.
